Sunday School (Toddler – 5th Grade)
Providence Church in West Hills offers a warm, safe, and gospel-centered children’s ministry for toddlers through 5th grade, serving families across the San Fernando Valley. Each Sunday, children enjoy worship time, Bible stories, age-appropriate activities and loving supervision in a secure environment. Whether you live in West Hills, Woodland Hills, Calabasas, Chatsworth, Northridge, Tarzana, or nearby, we look forward to welcoming your family and helping your kids know God and experience His love.
We love kids! We're a family of families with a heartfelt desire for our children to know God and feel His love. Our goal is to help them learn about God’s word and the gospel story in a safe, fun, and caring environment.

Each week, kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade start class as a group with a gospel-centered Bible story and a small snack. Then they are divided up by grade into smaller classes where they review and discuss the lesson while participating in a fun game, activity or worksheet. The Preschool-TK group goes directly to their own class for a snack, Bible lesson and play time. The middle school group goes directly to their own class as well.
While under the care of the children’s ministry, children are directly supervised at all times. We follow the Rule of 3:
- There are always three people present, which includes two screened adults (one female) to the greatest extent possible, and class doors remain open. The property has security cameras in most rooms, and a walkie-talkie communication system is in place for emergencies.
- A child is never alone with an adult, youth, or peer.
In an effort to provide the safest environment for our kids, all adult teachers and assistants are screened in compliance with California AB506, which requires LiveScan fingerprinting. Though not required by the state, we also run national and county background checks annually on all teachers/volunteers.
