Children's Ministry

(Toddler to 6th Grade)

We love kids! We're a family of families with a heartfelt desire for our children to know God and feel His love. Our goal is to help them learn about God’s word and the gospel story in a safe, fun, and caring environment.

Here’s what you can expect when you visit us:

Check-In: Kids (from toddlers to 6th grade) have an easy, secure check in at our Welcome Table where they'll receive a printed name tag. Parents/guardians get a matching receipt for easy pick-up.

Worship Together: Everyone starts the service together with a time of worship. Kids are invited to come up front and join Pastor Chris for a lively sing-along.

Class Time: After the sing-along, children are escorted by our Children's Ministry teachers to their classes. Here, they'll enjoy a Bible story, singing, snacks (kosher/nut-free), and playtime.

Pick-Up: Once the service ends, parents/guardians pick up their kids from their classes using the printed receipt.

After the Service: Families are invited to spend time together!

FAQ

My child is an infant or young toddler. What are the options?

Parents with infants and young toddlers are welcome to use an enclosed padded play area in the back of the sanctuary.

What are the kids age divisions for class?
  • Preschool – walking to kindergarten
  • Lower Elementary – 1st & 2nd grade
  • Upper Elementary – 3rd to 6th grade
What does my child do in class?

Each week, kids are presented with a Bible story lesson that is directly connected to the gospel.  They do a related, age-appropriate worksheet or activity and have a snack. After snack time, older kids have discussion while younger kids have indoor play time or supervised outdoor playground time.

What precaution and security measures do you take for the children?

While under the care of the children’s ministry, children are directly supervised at all times.  We follow the Rule of 3:

  • There are always three people present, which includes two screened adults (one female).
  • A child is never alone with an adult, youth, or peer.

In an effort to provide the safest environment for our kids, all adult teachers and assistants are screened in compliance with California AB506, which requires LiveScan fingerprinting. We also run national and county background checks.

What options are available for older children?

Currently youth (7th-12th grade) remain in the worship service. They have a youth group gathering on Sunday evenings (twice a month).
